Lost Chord Trustees
Chris is our chair of the Trustees/ Director Board and has been since 2013. As CEO of Morthyng Group Limited, a Chair of a Primary School Academy, Director or a Secondary School Academy and Chair of the Sheffield City Region Providers Network 14 to 19 sub group, he still finds time to support, advise and strategically drive our Board.
Personal experience of living and supporting a parent with Alzheimer’s, Chris has seen and understands the power that music has over the people suffering with this disease. This condition is Britain’s biggest killer and most debilitating illness both for the sufferer, their families and carer’s. Music brings light into a very dark world and allows a little respite from confusing to the original personality.
Shafiq Hussain is the Deputy Chief Executive at Voluntary Action Rotherham (VAR). VAR is the lead infrastructure body for the Rotherham voluntary and community sector, with over 500 member organisations. Shafiq lives locally and attended a local comprehensive school and college. He has over 15 years voluntary experience of working with the elderly and had been involved in setting up a residential care home for the elderly in Sheffield.
Shafiq’s previous roles have included working for the Sheffield City Council. He is the Treasurer for a Rotherham Consortium of organisations specialising in providing services and support to children, young people and families. He is a trustee of local charities, including Age UK Rotherham and a Governor of Rotherham North Notts Group (College).
Robin France our treasurer, retired as Group Company Secretary/ Financial Director from Tinsley Wire in 2000. Robin is the honorary Treasurer of a local Parochial Church Council and a Business Mentor for the Princes Trust.
Dr Michael Boyle
Dr Boyle has been a GP Partner at Birley since 1993. He graduated from the University of Sheffield in 1989 and completed VTS in 1993. He has an interest in medical education and is a Foundation Tutor, supervising and training postgraduates. His clinical interests include mental health, dermatology, cardiovascular medicine and respiratory medicine. He is also a Trustee for Saint Wilfrid`s Day Centre.
Elaine is a tax specialist who is an Associate Partner and Head of Private Client at Barber Harrison and Platt, Chartered Accountants. She has a particular interest in taxation of older people, so in addition to working with her own clients, she also works voluntarily for Tax Aid in their Tax Help for Older People “TOPs” department, helping older people who do not have access to an accountant. Elaine is also a Dementia Champion and a member of the Chesterfield Dementia Action Alliance. Elaine joined Lost Chord as a Trustee three years ago.
Benjamin Frith is a pianist who quickly gained a youthful reputation on winning the Dudley National Concerto Competition, aged just fourteen. International recognition came his way when he had major successes at the Busoni (Italy) and Artur Rubinstein Piano Masters Competitions(Israel).
Elizabeth Fulton Lye

A skilled marketing professional, taking Marketing Communications experience into applied academic practice. Initiatives include developing links with alumni, CIM and business networks to deliver live client projects and add
variety to teaching, learning and assessment.
Fellow of CIM and of Higher Education Academy, consistently nominated by students for inspirational teaching.
